I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about QR codes by now. They’re popping up everywhere on the sides of NYC buildings, on data-driven marketers’ business cards, in grocery stores on bottles of wine, etc. There are dozens of great opportunities for people to use QR codes, but one that we saw today is especially fantastic.  Brand Flakes for Breakfast posted this and we had to share -

A young whipper snapper by the name of Victor Petit apparently really wanted an internship. Rather than just emailing in the old cover letter and resume though, Petit took his attempt to land a job one step further. Petit’s resume included a QR code and when the potential employer scoping out his skills scanned the QR code with their smart phone, up popped a video of Petit’s mouth talking to the potential employer. How clever is that?

Perhaps a difficult economic climate does lead to innovation.

We’d love to see creative attempts at content-rich resumes like that! (Hint, hint.)

Most of all Petit’s QR code resume is a great example of how, with just a little ingenuity, one can make a big statement with QR code technology.

Watch the video to see how Petit’s idea worked in action.
